Paying for Weight Loss Surgery

Once you decide that weight loss surgery is for you, a common question is, “How much will it cost?” Fees will vary depending on what procedure you have and insurance coverage versus self-pay. Some insurance policies cover weight loss surgery, so the first step you'll want to take will be to investigate your own coverage.

Step One

Find out if you are covered for weight loss procedures under your insurance policies. Look for policy information on the company’s website or ask your employer’s human resources department for details. Many employers cover weight loss surgery in their insurance plans.

Step Two

Our weight loss surgery program can help with insurance pre-authorization by sending information about your health showing that your surgery is medically necessary. For example, if you have a condition that’s caused or worsened by obesity, such as diabetes or heart disease, billing codes for those conditions (or others that apply) will be included in the application.

Step Three

Get approval. Your responsibility will be to understand your insurance benefits, copays and deductible information. We are here to help you with the approval process.

Step Four

If you can’t get insurance coverage for your procedure, you still have options, such as a cash pay rate. Our hospital also has interest-free payment plan agreements.

We are here to support you toward your health and lifestyle goals.
